Visit trunk-or-treating, parties to celebrate Halloween in the Parks
CHICAGO—The Chicago Park District is thrilled to offer Halloween in the Parks, presented by Mars Wrigley. Affordable, accessible, and exciting events in celebration of Halloween will be held citywide. Patrons of all ages are invited to take part in the spooky, but always fun events through November 3, 2023. Highlights over the weekend include Trunk-Or-Treating, community Halloween parties and a Día de Los Muertos celebration.
"Mars Wrigley is proud to partner with the Chicago Park District and the City of Chicago for another year of Halloween fun and festivities,” said Anne Vela-Wagner, Executive Director, Mars Wrigley Foundation. “Through our iconic treats, like M&Ms, Twix and Snickers, and donation of over a thousand costume kits, we hope to inspire moments of everyday happiness throughout our Chicago community.”

Join us for a celebration of Day of the Dead at Marquette Park Cultural Center! Día de los Muertos/ Day of the Dead is a community celebration honoring and celebrating the lives of loved ones that have passed away. Featuring a Marquette Park community ofrenda and exhibition from Anchor Curatorial Artist in Residence, Carlos Flores. Performances from Mexican Folkloric Dance, and the Marquette Park Composers Workshops. Food, games, and community resources with La Casa Norte for the whole family! Please join us on Mondays from 5-7pm throughout October leading up to the event for family art workshops exploring the themes of Dٟía de los Muertos.
